I recently bought a new Char-Griller grill & smoker (Super Pro with the side firebox). So far, I have cooked hamburgers and steaks on the grill, and I did some smoked chicken breasts on Sunday. I haven't cooked with charcoal for several years, so it is taking a little bit to get used to it again. This is also my first experience with an offset firebox.
I have been using natural lump charcoal with this grill. It seems to be a little harder to light, but I'm getting that figured out. It burns hot and produces little ash. So far I have tried Cowboy Charcoal and Royal Oak hardwood charcoal.
Next weekend, I plan on cooking a beef roast in the smoker. I also want to try a turkey breast and beef ribs.
